Uyen Huynh-Do

Bio:Uyen Huynh-Do is Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Nephrology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bern. She obtained a Medical Degree in 1985 at the University of Zürich Medical School, Switzerland. In 1986 she was a Research fellow at the Department of Pharmacology & Biochemistry, University of Zürich. From 1989 to 1991 she was a resident at the Medical Clinics of the University Hospitals of Zurich and Bern. In 1993 she returned as a Clinical fellow at the Division of Nephrology in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Zurich University Hospital. From 1996 to 1999 Uyen Huynh-Do joined the Division of Nephrology of the Vanderbilt Center for Vascular Biology at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. She returned as an Attending Physician in the Department of Nephrology and Hypertension of the University Hospital in Bern, where she became an Assistant Professor in 2004, and Associate Professor in 2008. In 2009 she got a Master of Medical Education (MME) from the University of Bern & Dept of Medical Education, University of Illinois at Chicago, with a thesis on “Ethics and the kidney for medical students and nephrology fellows: old issues, new challenges”
